You must be looking for free crochet baby blanket patterns since you have found this article. I love making baby blankets and I'll make them in both boy and girl colors to keep at the house so when there is a baby shower I am ready with a beautiful handmade gift that any new mother would just lost to have.

The first step in locating free crochet baby blanket patterns is by searching the internet. I love to look at all the photos of baby blankets first to see which ones really catch my eye. I will print out all the ones I love the most and would love to make. I keep them all in a file so when I want to make a baby blanket they are right there waiting for me. You could be lost for hours searching all the free crochet baby blanket patterns because there is just so many of them. You can either save each pattern that you like in your favorites under a file folder called free crochet baby blanket patterns or you can print each one out that you like.

I usually start hunting through all the free patterns on Ravelry when I'm looking for something, and then if I don't find something I like I may branch out on Google. Ravelry.com, if you don't know, is the be all and end all of social networking sites for knitters and crocheters and it really has grown huge since it started. There are some really lovely patterns on it.

But thank you for sharing your list, I'll have a look when I get home - can't look from the work computer lol.

I have a few vintage baby blanket knitting patterns on my site but no crochet! I'm going to have to work some up!

If anyone has a good resource to recommend, let me know and I'll add it to my pattern resources.
