Back when Ellen came out about being gay there was a huge uproar. However I was just reading that Brothers & Sisters - a prime time TV show - is about to have a gay wedding in it - two guys - and that there isn't any uproar at all. The sponsors don't mind, there isn't press about it. In fact the only reason the article was written was to comment on how there wasn't any articles being written on this topic.

Heck, we have our own Gay TV station, called LOGO on cable.

Gosh, this is definitely progress. ABC refused to show an Olivia Cruises (the lesbian cruise company) advert during the "coming out" episode of Ellen, and (according to the below article) stated that "lesbian lifestyles belong in programming, not advertising."

In the world of 'The L word' 'Queer as folk' 'once and again' and 'the OC' I think that an uproar about the gay marriage in brothers and sisters would be simply ridiculous

there was a lesbian wedding in the tv series "friends" , no uproar,only Rose showed a little madness.

i love Ellen, saw her live last year and she was giving away prizes and i won one hehe it was only a shirt of hers but still i wear it all the time :)
