Anyone seen it and liked it?

It's awesome. Leo is on fire in this and so if Mark Ruffalo. They were great together! Great movie. I loved it and Jus wanted it more spelled out. I think you'll love it.

Yes, this is a superb movie. Very sad though as with most of Leo's movies. He's always brilliant but tragic. Fantastic film, though I annoyingly guessed the most important thing within about half hour LOL.

Okay... so I did enjoy this movie. But, I went into it thinking it was a supernatural thriller... so :P Was a bit disappointed about that.

But once I got over that I enjoyed it.

I agree with Steve. Once you guess the ending, it's a bit disappointing. Also, I wish there was a different ending. Like Deanna, I hoped there was a supernatural bent to it and not another actually-the-main-character-is-insane film.

Oops, I hope I didn't spoil the ending for anyone who hasn't seen it.

Yeah, but really he's not insane in the end -= that's why it's even more sad. Yeah, I thought something paranormal was going to happen or had happened from the trailors...

I'm just tired of Leo dying at the end of practically every movie he's in. I know he has a sweet face which is very good with sensitivity and vulnerabillity, but please - how much more can we take LOL. I loved Inception though, plus a nice ending.

It was heartbreaking. LC wasn't the real crazy one, his wife was, but he was broken by her actions.

Yeah, it was heartbreaking - Leo's so good with his emotions too - I think he's one of the best actors of our generation.

Really, truly, folks -- if you enjoyed this movie I strongly urge you to read Dennis LeHane's novel. It's not only and incredibly strong piece of writing, but so much of it is factually based on actual practices in psych hospitals in America 1930s-1970s. The debate over pharmaceutical therapy vs cognitive therapy is only lightly touched in the movie and it was a huge crisis then. And the book didn't telegraph the end like the movie did. But who doesn't love LC -- he is certainly one of the most talented actors of this generation.

I think if I had to pick the most talented actor of this generation, I'd say Leonardo - he's fantastic.

I really want to check out the book, but the movie upset me and anything to do with the way people are mistreated in psyciatric wards really scares me and upsets me. I hate to see people being bullied and vulnerable people being hurt, especially cos I can relate to poor psychiatric health and help from healthcare.
