I am blessed with two healthy children. After 5 years we decided to try for another and have since had two miscarriages. Has anyone else experienced this?

dear marriedhappy, i am in the same boat! two lovely kids 4 and 2 and a miscarriage in sept. 2010 and a current pregnancy that is measuring 2wks behind what i know to be my correct dates along with a low progesterone level. Wont know for sure until my next u/s on the 27th , but i dont have a good feeling. i feel like i am headed for another miscarriage. how early were your losses? chances are the loses are due to abnormalities with the baby and not with you or your husband. you have had 2 healthy pregnancies. the physicians that i work with and have spoken to have said that 2 miscarriages that are early should not discourage you. that truth is that we miscarry more often then we know. it is our bodies way of insuring that the pregnancy is healthy. modern medicine has made it possible for us to find out earlier and if you are like me , you seem to know very early on that you are pregnant. with my first loss, i found out one day and lost it a few days later. had i never taken the test, i would have assumed that my period was a few days late. i hope you two continue to try and dont get discouraged!!!!! i hope this helps!!!

I had to have a D&C 5 weeks ago, we have 1 child 4.5 years old and the baby I was supposed to have would have been born on my son's 5th birthday. I'm really devastated. I keep remembering what it was like to have my son, to look at his every expression with fascination when he was just new. To watch him grow. I would like to try again, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to feel sexually intimate with my husband again. He's been incredibly supportive and is my best friend. But every time I think about being physically close to anyone I just panic. Yet women have miscarriages and get pregnant again all the time. Did either of you have a similar issue with intimacy after the miscarriage, and if so, how did you resolve it? How long did it take before you could be with your husband again?
