Since the time my sister got pregnant she has been acting like we should all fall over backwards, but she's worse to my parents. She told my Mom where she wanted her shower, registered for expensive gifts. My parents spend so much money on her shower. They also bought her baby furniture and tons of gifts. Plus my parents watch the baby at no charge while my sister works. Now my sister wants my parents to buy another crib for their house so the baby is more comfortable while my parents mind you watch him. Um, shouldn't my sister buy the crib for my parents. She is actually mad at my parents because they said no. Need to vent! ugh

I understand. It very much seems unfair. I understand why the grandparents do these things, but it still gets annoying. smile

Your story makes me think of the song "Pregnant Women are Smug." Look it up on youtube if you have not heard it.

Your sister seems to be a bit spoiled to be angry that your parents said no about one thing when she has gotten so much from them already.

Are you saying your parents watch the baby regularly when your sister works, like 5 days a week, for nothing?!! Wow, that's pretty intense. My parents love their grandchildren, and they do watch my sister's kids a lot, but they would never agree to watch them that much. And to ask them to pay for a crib for their own house on top of that? Pardon me for saying it, but...your sister's got some kahones!

Yes, Maria...5 days a week for nothing. I'm glad my parents put their foot down and said no to the crib. You would think my sister would be thankful and grateful that she has free day care. Kat, as for spoiled, my husband said the same thing and Jilly yes it is annoying. ugh! Another thing that drives me nuts is that my sister complains when my parents take weekend trips for themselves. She actually said if they can take weekend trips they can buy the crib. So my parents should not live their lives anymore and give everything to the baby?? ugh, ugh ugh!! Thank you for your comments :)

Was she a bridezilla too? She sure sounds spoiled, demanding and greedy. The grandparents deserve weekends away after all they have done for her!

she was a bit of a bridezilla. She went over budget and went to my parents for money. Now we have a Mommyzilla on our hands...haha.
