Is anyone else into skin science? I had been told retinol is the only way to stimulate skin to generate collagen (to fill in wrinkles) -- but I've never been able to use retinoids because my skin is oversensitive to the irritation -- I suffer ridiculous, prolonged peeling even with a dilute retinol. I think there's a legit alternative, based on new science. LEXA Complex from Freya, contains proteins and peptides that communicate with fibroblasts (collagen-producing cells) and cause them to act like stem cells. The fibroblast cells then multiply faster and produce more collagen. It's the basis of several products sold by Freya.
