That tiny little voice telling you not to take this road or that, knowing a storm is coming through and that inexplicable feeling of caution after just meeting another person's mate? Instincts have been around far longer than we may think. Do you listen to yours? trusting Natural Instincts

I try to but I always second guess myself. Is it really my intuition or is it just my brain playing tricks on me type of thing.

Karen, you need to discard self-doubt. It took me years to get over it.
And it helps to know the difference between the whispering of your intuition vs. the louder clamoring of your mind. With me, it's an ongoing practice. But I'm very happy that I'm making progress!
Elleise listens to hers on a regular basis and thus her intuition grows stronger.

I've been doing what Elleise said she does about keeping the feeling until she gets the answer over and over and that has been helping. I keep the feeling until the only thing I hear is the right answer. I also reworded my question one time and right off the bat I got a strong feeling and the answer shown in my head. The word was actually spelled out. It was so cool.

That's about it, really. It isn't fancy and it isn't as much fun as maybe hollywood would have people see it, or anyone that promises to intune your psychic gifts... I mean first of all, why is the question, a person would want to feel and pursue what virtually 90% of the population doesn't want to bother themselves with and if you've (figurative) got an aswer, what is it you feel it can do to benefit, in the higher/positive means of things/life? It's real, but to reach, I don't know, maybe their full effects, it's almost the more pure the intention, the greater the insight and gain overall. I can't do lotto numbers, but I can do horse tracks or use to, but just knowing I can...that's just something I guess to know. I don't really like it, if that makes sense, it's not my passion. So i don't pursue it and it seems I reach the more important things like people and Souls that have something to say or need understanding and THAT's why I do what I do or at least my drive anyway. That thing when it repeats itself over and over again...I mean, it's not a conscious effort, it just will play like a broken record and I'd say 9.5 times out of ten, that the anser...sometimes you might even need tylenal, lol because it may not be the answer you were hoping for or I was hoping for.

Hi Elleise,
You know, it doesn't always come in that 'tiny little voice' or even a nudging to do this or that. Sometimes little 'slip-ups' guide us as well.
For instance...
One experience I had, driving back from NY late one night, I was 16, just got my drivers license. Everyone in the vehicle fell asleep including my dad who NEVER-EVER-EVER fell asleep in a vehicle until that night. While they were all off in dream land, I took the wrong road by mistake. When my dad woke up 20 minutes later, we were too far to turn around and go back to the 'right' road.
He did grumble a bit but we kept driving toward home.
The next day, the newspaper headlines read, "10 car pile-up - HWY 224". As my dad read the newspaper article, his face turned white. He said, "If you wouldn't have taken the wrong road, we would have been at that exact spot at the same time that accident occurred." (My dad was the Navigator King, I swear, he could navigate a blind driver without incident! He knew travel times/mileage/destination arrival times like a pro.)
Kinda eerie.

That's a fabulous/remarkable incident and you are so absolutely right! Thank goodness they didn't use the nudge or wisper, even if it's embarrassing at times! It reminded me of one I'd forgotten long ago.
As most know here, I'm dyslexic. I can't read a map. I tried to visit my sister in MI and ended up on the Ryan express, mumbling my own last rites, lol.
Anyway, that same trip I was visiting my husband then, parents. They lived in the thickest of woods in MI. After getting lost but finally making it to my sister's, it was so late I ended up staying later than I probably should have visiting her. When I headed to the parent's house, not only was it dark out, but after an hour 1/2, a thick fog moved in. The type you couldn't see the car in front of you.
Time-wise, it should only have taken about 1.5 hrs to get to their house. I had been driving for over 3 hrs. It was well after midnight. The trees were very thick and the roads were very tight. I decided to sleep on the side of the road until morning. Then I felt something....but it told me to turn around and just in doing that you didn't know if you were gong to get hit because you couldn't see anything, but I did and said, "Youre the boss"
I drove sweating bullets veering off the road trying to find the curves. All of the sudden I heard in my head "TURN HERE!!!!!!!" but you couldn't see anything. Knee jerk reaction, I did with my eyes closed, braced for impact and the car lost contact with the road and fell so hard down I hit my head on the roof of the SUV but I could feel it caught contact with gravel. I slammed on the breaks and inched forward. I could have been going into a lake, dead end, opposite whatever. The car couldn't go any further at that speed and got stuck so I pressed the accelorator, the tires spun but caught blacktop. I just sat there, thankful to be alive.
There was a giant road light glowing and I thought even if I'm going the wrong way if I can just make it to that, at least it's something. As I approached it I could see a mailbox and thought, I know the cops will be called, but I'll explain and maybe they'll let me use their phone or let me park in their drive way. As I got even closer, it was the exact address of the parents I was trying to get to in the first place...I know, NO WAY!

Wow, Eleise, what a tale. Most people won't admit they hear that voice, or have the sense to follow it. I have had several experiences where I suddenly, firmly and without a doubt, know something that I shouldn't know. No voices actually, but like a part of my memory has popped up. I was 18 when I first went to Europe, and visited friends of my mother from WWII. They were driving me around Vienna, they didn't speak English and I didn't speak German, and suddenly I knew how to ask questions about a particular coffee shop and some other places ... all of which had been there in the early 1900s but were no longer around. I knew I had been in those places and had memories of meeting people there. That's how I started to learn German. I've also had instances when I know that the phone is going to ring and who is calling, and a sudden urgent need to call or find somebody. That has turned out to mean that person is ill or taken to the hospital. But I don't hear anything. Is this clairvoyance?

Remarkable story...
I've had similar experiences, only I'm a bit stubborn, so chances are, when I don't understand the "why's" and "hows" or "reasoning", you would likely see me inside the car wrestling with my 'little voice'.
There have been plenty of those "no time to argue" moments where it was do it NOW, OR Else...
