With so much SPAMMING going on, how can I "guarantee" someone will ready my "marketing" email? I use to put the date or the name of the person in the SUBJECT area, but now I am noticing the SPAM I am getting has started to do this (lol). Any suggestions? Thank you

I don't think you can ever guarantee someone reading your email (heck, I miss emails from my mom sometimes), but from my own experience, I know what emails scream "spam" to me. Here are three things that clue me in:
1) Using my name or email name in the subject, like "Hello meromana"—my friends and relatives never do this, so I know it's junk. 2) Anything hype-y like "You'll never believe this!" or words like "amazing", "unbelievable", "outrageous". 3) More than one misspelled word in the subject--these are almost always spammers trying to sneak past the filters.

Are you sending out email to people who have subscribed to you? I think that regularity is the key. If your email goes out every Monday, they learn to expect it. But if it's irregular they are more likely to forget about it.

One Getting Paid To Blog site that I actively await emails from (and even look forward to them!) is a a money savers tips blog! I never fail to open those and read them - and it's very regular, once a week. My own site mainly deals with ways to generate income from writing, so sometimes they overlap!

Hi Maria, what about for example "Mr. Robert Smith, Director".... Would that come off as SPAM to someone? Any suggestions of what to put in the SUBJECT area. Hate leaving it blank as I know I delete those kind as they are using a virus that someone sent after hacking into someone's account. Top things that prevent your emails from getting sent to the junk/spam file and guarantee that they are read and even missed if you don't send them include:
relevant or catchy headline relevant to that person interesting content length fun factor useful or helpful
It's all about your relationship with your list. Treat people how you would want to be treated and they will open, read, and even email to ask why they haven't received anything in a while.
I get emails from my list all the time when I'm slacking wondering if maybe they got taken off the list by accident or asking if I'm o.k. or wondering when the next email is coming. You accomplish this with good content that matters to the people on your list : )

Yes, monetizing your blog tastefully is important and the emails need to be useful, such as the tips I display showing which writing sites actually pay out:

Hi BellaShorts, I have nothing against generating revenue from blogs, but my is a project of love = free (lol). I created it while unemployed (kept me sane/lol) and continued after I got a job in spite of being too busy. I am hoping it will help other folks that are unemployed. After being laid off, it took 2 years for me to locate the temporary job I now have. And had to move to take it. But heading back home to Phenix City, Alabama when it ends. At age 52, I am learning to be "flexible" to keep an income coming my way Yes, monetizing your blog tastefully is important and the emails need to be useful, such as the tips I display showing which writing sites actually pay out:
