Does everyone like to eat pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving? What are your other favorite pies?

My dad loves pecan pie. I'm not a pie eater myself, my favorite dessert would be a low sugar ice cream with low sugar dark chocolate chips smile Yummmm!

Love all types of pie and can't ever decide which one to have so I usually have 2-3 bites of various pies. Pumpkin, pecan, rhubarb, mixed berry, french apple, key lime are my favorites.

Pies are the best!!! Much better than cake or cheese cake in my opinion. It's one of the reasons I bust my butt working out every day. So I can indulge on pies during the holidays!

Emeril has this Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie that I've been wanting to try the last two years so I'm hoping to finally make it this year.

I have always loved pumpkin pie. As a child, I would ask for it instead of birthday cake. smile

I never liked pumpkin pie as a youngster. When I was a senior in high school we prepared a pumpkin pie in foods, and it was lovely. The name was Mandarin Pumpkin Pie, and it had Mandarin oranges as garnish--that part was icky. This was a no-bake pie. It had gelatin, pineapple juice, spices, whipped cream, and pumpkin folded into a pre-baked pie crust. I have never found a recipe for this, and high school is over 40 years in the distant past.

Thanks Lisa! You know so many great recipes. That looks lovely, but it is not the same recipe. I have made a couple of no bake pumpkin pies, but the Mandarin Pumpkin Pie is hands-down my favorite!
