Hi everyone,

Whitechapel has to be one of the best programmes I have watched for some time. A combination of excellent writing and great acting resulted in gripping storylines.

There were two 3 part stories that focused on copycats of Jack the Ripper and then the Krays.

Has anyone else seen one or both of these?

Hi Clare:

I am in the USA and do try to watch "public TV" when I can.

I don't remember seeing "Whitechapel" - sounds interesting.

Hi Angela,

I hope you had a good thanksgiving.

If you get a chance to watch both series,
I recommend it. It was shown on ITV over here.

Hi Anne:

So you are into BBC - awesome.

I don't have as much time as I used to watch Public Television here in the US, but once in a while I do take a few minutes to sit down and watch some.

British TV is great.

Thanks for the info smile

Foyles War was indeed excellent. Detective stories based on some odd aspect of WWII with lots of authentic vehicles and planes.

But it wasn't made by, or shown on, the BBC, it was an ITV production.

Unfortunatley ITV lost faith in it and the producers hurried to get to the end of the war. Then after wards ITV reconsidered and it looks like they'll be a new series.
