sooo i have probably bought about 50 different mascaras and it still continues. i naturally have long eyelashes i love. but i cant find a mascara that will define them pretty. i love the deep black non messy or clumpy and great spilt of lashes. and love thick mascara.everytime one mascara will do one or the other but none is ever right for me. hmmm is this normal...

I've always had the same issue as you. Have you ever tried L'oreal voluminous in carbon black. It's pretty awesome because it separates and defines without clumping up like so many other mascaras.

Have you ever watched MissChievous on youtube? She is one of the best makeup gurus out there and has killer tips on popular mascaras and makeup techniques. You'll love her!

I unfortunately don't have your beautiful long lashes, but it looks like I do when I use Maybelline's "Lash Stylist" product. It comes with a comb-type applicator, instead of a brush, which makes for easy application that doesn't ever clump. Unfortunately, they've discontinued the product! No idea why, because a lot of us just loved it, but you can still find it on Amazon. I did and stocked up with enough for a couple years smile .

I used to always have problems with mascara flaking off. Definitely look for a mascara that is waterproof because it will stay on longer, and apply only a little. If you use two coats to enhance lashes, make sure you allow your lashes to dry after the first coat. I have been using DiorShow Mascara and it makes my invisble lashed actually look long, and I don't have problems with flaking. The last drugstore brand I used and liked was Cover Girl Lash Blast. I did have more smudging with it than the DiorShow, but it did stay in place most of the day.
