The TV Programme Phenix mentions is 1970's comedy The Good Life starring Richard Briers and Felicity Kendall. Title was changed in the USA because there was another show with the same name.

Yes, Good Life was very popular then and still gets good numbers when repeated.

I had to Google 'Good Neighbors' to find out.

"The Good Life" was a pun on the characters name, Tom & Barbara Good and the self-sufficient good life they had turned to.

The show was intended as a vehicle for Richard Briers, who was a big stage and TV star who'd been in several very succesful comedy series, the other actors were virtual unknowns.

However as the series developed the part played by neighbours Margo and Jerry Leadbetter (Penelope Keith and Paul Eddington) got bigger thanks to the characterisation of Margo and Penelope Keith's playing of her.

AFter the Good Life ended she and Paul Eddington both went on to star in their own comedy series, Keith in To The Manor Born and Eddington in the utterly brilliant Yes Minister.

And theres not a man in the UK of a certain age who can think of Felicity Kendal in her tight jeans in Good Life without smiling.

Thanks for the additional info and yes, I can just imagine you guys and those tight jeans. Shame, shame smile

But from a ladies point of view, she looks okay in them. I would not have a problem with my boyfriend watching the show.

Now there are some shows, I do not allow him to watch (lol).
