totally agree! but isn't that the way they think anyway? they focus on one issue publically and push thru the other items on the agenda in the back room, and think they can get away with it!
NONE of them get it! they want to focus on jobs, and yes, jobs are important, but it's much more than that! it's all of what you listed, and more, but they cling to 'jobs'. even obama spoke of how 'we didn't do our part in making sure there were jobs'. even HE thinks that's what it has been about.
we can only hope and pray that the newly elected will take our message, loud and clear, to Washington and put it in words they can understand. show them that we want less govenment, less spending, less illegal immigration, less public subsidies, esp. for those who haven't earned a dime to contribute to it, and less intervention in ALL areas where WE can handle it ourselves, if left to do so!
i remember when health care was affordable...so was insurance. it worked great! the employers paid a premium, the employees paid a co-pay, and prices were reasonable. of course you had to work to get these benefits....hhmmmm....
one thing people don't understand about health care for the indigent: there's a program already in place to cover them. it's called the Hill-Burton Act. hospitals receive monies to cover indigent care from the government. NOWHERE on either side have i heard this program mentioned in any discussion about healthcare reform!
we don't need healthcare reform, we need INSURANCE reform! the government can't handle what they already control, i certainly don't want them handling my decisions about my health! they aren't qualified!
i don't think any of them have read the Constitution. it allows for the federal government to do two things, and two things only: protect our soil from invasion and oversee (not regulate) interstate commerce for fairness. that is IT!
you'd think they would know that, being congress-people. (but then you'd also think our school system would teach this so we, the people, would be educated about it...sorry, whole different topic.)
and there's part of MY rave! thanks for listening!
