Hi All, I am new here. Just kind of ran into this site. I am a Brownie leader. We are attempting to complete all the badges in our book. The problem is we will not be able to fit all the badges on the vests. Does anyone know what the proper protacal is for this matter. Where do you put them when there is no room left on the front of the vest? Thank you bec0690

I do not know if your council allows it, but I have seen badges on the backs of vests.

Hi! I am new here, too! First of all, I think it is WONDERFUL that your troop is so active. Here are two suggestions: If this is your first year, does anyone want to invest inthe sash? If it is your second, year, how about having the girls hot glue the patches to their GS bags that they bring to each meeting? I hope this helps!

What one of our trips did was to buy a sash when the vests got full, then cut the sash and sewed it onto the vests - made the vests longer and thus there was more room for the badges. hope this help.s

To add to kristenirene's comments. That's what I did to my younger daughter's Jr vest & my older daughter's Cadett-Ambassador vest. You cut the sash in half to the width of the vest. Creating a straight finished seam on either end of that extension, sew it to the bottom & back of vests. This will extend the back of the vests but you can do the same with one of the halves & attach it to the front of the vest. Or you can add both pieces on the back of the vest if needed as I did for my older daughter's vest.
