Hello Hope,
Yes, my field is Ergonomics. I came to the field through Occupational Therapy. After getting a lot of experience in how the body works, what can go wrong and why, and treatment techniques, I decided to study a bit more and went to San Jose State University to get a Masters in Human Factors - Ergonomics.
Human Factors programs vary thoughout the nation. Many focus on perception, some on instrument control, some on research, some on the psychology of people and work, and some on the physical aspects of work. San Jose State actually give a choice of several different focuses. This give a very wide base of knowledge to use in approaching problems. Oops- out of room.
