NPR is liberal - polite but liberal.

Angie, you are correct--NPR is liberal, but I don't believe the following clip of Nina Totenberg could be considered "polite": On Jesse Helms & his grandchildren getting aids

I find they are a bit more civil at times on the news and discussion group. None of the shows are always polite. Lately, they are all one sided and yelling matches. Some commentators have no conscience and will say anything - It is hard to believe that, in this country, someone would wish evil on or curse someone else. As the old saying goes, 'Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you.' Be careful for what you wish.

Juan was working with Fox News as a Liberal commentator,at least they present both sides of an issue. If you believe NPR had a right to fire him, I question just what is your view on the FREEDOMS OF AMERICA! Is it OK if they disappear one at a time? elc911

I think that is an important point overlooked. Juan is a liberal commentator, yet Fox has allowed his viewpoint time and time again. That is much more fair and balanced.

I caught a glimpse of a newscaster asking an NPR representitive, if they felt their actions were justified in firing Juan Williams, when the newscaster listed off a bunch of quotes from other commentators that the NPR turned a blind eye to.

Talk about ignorant response. All she could come up with was, that's not true, there were no quotes. The newscaster, I loved his persistence, said something like, "I've got them right here. I can list them for you" and he did.

I've never seen a woman go from a dead stop to warp speed just to get to her office.

These people and their actions, they're right there, out in the open. This is no longer opinion but a direction the gov. is taking the country.
