A few of my friends here advised me to start this - so thanks everyone. I'm really glad I've started bonding and making friends with my fellow bellaonliners smile Hopefully I'll be able to make a few of these goals come true in the next few months etc.

1. Firstly, I really want to get a part time job so I can get out and start meeting and interacting with people more.
2. I've been eating healthy this last week and excercising - I've always wanted a six pac - my stomach is flat - but I've never pushed it that extra bit. So that would be good, and also keep up the healthy eating and excerise.
3. I want to write more, put more time aside for writing - so I get my novel polished completley - it's glowing, but I want it to sparkle smile
4. Relax!
Also, just try to stop worrying about ppl around me - try and deal with the stress of life; knowing it's sometimes out of my hands - change what I can and try to accept what I can't.

Sounds like an excellent start! A part time job is a good start since it will leave you a bit of time for writing.

I'm glad you're interacting more here too, your comments always make me smile. smile

Are you looking for any particular type of job? I know some times people are kinda particular about where they want to work. Too bad you weren't here, many of the library systems around here hire mostly part time workers 15 or 20 hours a week.

My apologies, I fear the HR manager in me tends to surface at times...lol...

How's your writing been this week?
oh and btw starting off with a flat stomach is 2/3rd the battle, very cool...I vaguely remember those days...hehehe

Hey Steve, just thought I'd mention that I work from home part-time doing a couple of things... one that might interest you is telecommunications from home. I noticed that you didn't specify that you prefer an "at home" job, but that's what I'm currently doing so...

I work for VIPdesk and they're still hiring. If you need more info, I could talk about it all day because I enjoy it so much. I only work 10 hours a week (by choice), but they're currently hiring part-time for 25 - 40 hours per week.

Great list! Makes me want to update my own.

Steve -

We definitely can help!

Start here - by finding 10 minutes of peace -

10 Minutes of Peace

and then work on your priorities! That really helps get you started!

Steve! You're here! YAY!

Awesome list!

Are you participating in NaNoWriMo? I'm doing it - and my goal is to actually get that novel written in one month.

What sort of novel? Fiction? Horror? Once you're ready are you sending it out to any particular publisher?

What sort of part time work do you want? I'd LOVE to work at Starbucks! I think being a barrista would be the bomb!

Thanks guys - sorry I haven't been on here for a bit because my friends came own to visit - which was good because it got me out of the house and socialising more.
Deanna I've written a few books - they're all horror - but the main one is teenage horror fiction. I've had really good feedback regarding it from agents - but I keep getting told it's a terrible year for publishing because of the economy and so they're scared to tke a chance on any new writers - unless they find something amazing.
Actually I might try for a job in starbucks - I was offered one there about three years ago - but I turned it down at the time.

Rayna - I don't think I could do that cos I live in the UK? Also I think I want to try and get a job where I'm out socialising with people more - I tend to forget my worries more when I'm around people and keeping myself busy.

I haven't written much at all - I've only done a few thousand words - as I decided to do an epilogue for my teen novel. Someone contacted me regarding interviwing me for their degree though - so I'm going to do that. I thought it would be fun and nice to help.

Been doing my ten minutes and also my shakes in the morning though smile

Steve, you are doing great! Keep trucking, really: the ten minutes and the shakes are a great start for taking hold of caring for you. having friends out is positive, getting bits of writing in, and looking for a job is great. Starbucks would be good, i agree. It would be social and relatively pleasant.

Does any of your horror involve zombies? For some reason i love zombies.

Aw... I think it's a shame that publishers don't want to take a chance on new writers! And that's so disheartening for those of us who are working on our first novels right now. :P

You know, we are having an editor chat tomorrow.... I think this would be a good topic to bring up. Getting published! After all, we are writers - and we may as well get our work out there!
