The answer really depends on just a few factors: what sort of system are you trying to protect, what level of protection do you need, and what it your budget?

For instance, if you're using a desktop computer at home, using it just to play games and surf the web, and your budget for virus protection is pretty small, then your AV choice would be vastly different from someone who uses a laptop strictly for work and will pay whatever it costs to protect their info.

Hi If you are a home user and looking for security for online safety, buy an internet security package, such as AVG Internet Security or another, but please install at least two other anti-spyware (suggest SuperAntiSpyware and SpywareBlaster, both free for personal use). Once installed, please update and scan your system with the Superantispyware. In my work as an independent computer engineer, I see many systems stuffed with spyware (which incidently are 'protected' by Norton or McAfee internet security) and no other security present. With your system checked over, consider using OpenDNS for your DNS option (it will curb much of the spam and email rubbish). Hope this helps Thank You Prometheus1618
