Winter has definitely arrived and I don't want to get sick. I'm wondering what preventative measures people are taking...I went to Costco the other day and I saw this new product called TriMune, it's supposed to support the immune system and defend against the common cold. Has anyone tried it, suggest it?

I haven't tried that. One thing I recommend, though, is that you only take products containing echinacea if you are absolutely sure that you are not allergic to ragweeds. I took echinacea for a whole winter once, and got cold after cold after cold..... only to have my doctor (who works with alternative medicines) tell me that I should've asked her before starting an echinacea regimen... it can be detrimental to the health of people with ragweed allergies, because it is a member of the ragweed family.

What I DO take, however, is a product called Emergen-C, which is a sort of fizzing drink mix that is wildly popular among musicians, for some reason.... it helps keep colds at bay even when touring through different cities (thus different local germs and climates) each night, not getting enough sleep, and heavy smoke exposure.

I swear by it, I often tour with my S.O. and I haven't had a serious cold since I started taking it daily.

I use, TriMune it work great. You take one tablet, three times daily at the first sign of a weaken immune system.

TriMune can also be beneficial when taken before entering crowded places. So far I havent had a cold or flu this year.

TriMune, has Andrographis in it as well as Echinacea, Vitamin C, and Zinc. I also take Vitamin C daily.

I try to get enough sleep (epic failure the majority of the time), drink plenty of water, and take elderberry syrup starting in the fall. It seems to work. This year, though, I've been using acai instead of the elderberry and I haven't been sick yet. I used to come down with every cold and sniffle anyone passing by had. I haven't even gotten sick when family memebers have.

I like Wellness Formula and eating healthy helps too. If I feel run down I get more sleep and take my wellness formula and I don't get sick : )

Getting a good night sleep is really a huge one, isn't it!

We're taking our Emergenc-C, and zinc.

I also like to take the Oscillococcinum - sp? - it's good for going into crowded place.

The most important things you can do to keep from getting sick is to take the 3 sacred supplements... Lugol's iodine, Vitamin C and Vitamin D3.

There is a learning curve on how to take these supplements properly and loading dosages are essential or you are continually in the trying to keep up game.

Your health will be totally dependent on a food what you take and water what you drink. So better drink boiled and purified water in the winter and keep your self warm all the time. Take care.
