My lightbulb moment was when I finally realised and accepted that work issues that were stressing me out weren't really my fault and being able to accept that was okay.Following the introduction of a new system I expected to be able to perform as I had in the past, however there was one slight flaw in this scenario...I hadn't been given any new procedures to work to. My defining moment was when a very clever person pointed out if this was a stage production would I expect to put on a performance without a character definition or a script, I replied of course I wouldn't and she responded then why do you think you can work without your script! She also pointed out it was a producers resposibility to see that the actors had what they needed to put on a good show so by definition it was my bosses responsibilty to see that I had the tools to do my job and NOT MINE!...
Hi Jewelsrus, the 'Stage Production' analogy is a great one! (JOY)
