My lightbulb moment was when I finally realised and accepted that work issues that were stressing me out weren't really my fault and being able to accept that was okay.Following the introduction of a new system I expected to be able to perform as I had in the past, however there was one slight flaw in this scenario...I hadn't been given any new procedures to work to. My defining moment was when a very clever person pointed out if this was a stage production would I expect to put on a performance without a character definition or a script, I replied of course I wouldn't and she responded then why do you think you can work without your script! She also pointed out it was a producers resposibility to see that the actors had what they needed to put on a good show so by definition it was my bosses responsibilty to see that I had the tools to do my job and NOT MINE! Well that little snippet saved me from going over the edge and I have applied this to other areas of my life as well with great results. Have any of you got any life defining moments to share? It can all help to make lifes highway a smoother road to travel.

Hi Jewelsrus, the 'Stage Production' analogy is a great one! (JOY)

It was a few weeks ago (weirdly i cannot recall the exact date but it could be retraced in 1 of the 4 threads i post in every morning here - i remember it being a friday). I was about to leave the computer to start my night routine and I decided to go on the YouTube channel of Peter Foster, I checked his new videos and one made my heart stop for a moment (the title is "What am I??") I thought this meant that he either was giving up or was bullied or something and I watched the video and it was him starting a game. That gave me the kick I needed to finally stop doing nothing or giving up what I started. Since then it has been slow but I have yet to give up.
