The University of Michigan is running a study of "massively multiplayer" online games. We're giving out free copies of Asheron's Call 2 (which your moderator says is excellent) to many of the people who take part in our study.

So far, we've collected a lot of entries, but very few from women. As such, women stand much better odds of getting a free copy to play than men--probably 50/50 at this point.

If you've never tried an online game, try this one for free. If you know any fellow women gamers who might be interested, please tell them about this.

We've had good response to the survey, with over 800 people so far. Unfortunately, a very small number of them have been women, so we need you!

If you would be interested in playing this game for free, and your computer can run the game, please fill out a survey.

If you have any friends who might go for it, let them know. We're happy to get non-gamers in the study as well.

At this point, women who fill out the survey stand a 50-50 chance of getting a free copy, far better odds than the men.

We're still about 40 women short, so help us out!

Thanks. Maybe those two (and others) will see your note and consider it. We are very close to having our minimum number of women--just about 10 to go.

That's true. A couple of years ago, PCGamer put out this article proving with statistics that women can be alot better at gaming than guys. Doesn't that suck?
