I don't know what is wrong with me right now. I think being lone all day every day is getting to me.

I am going to see if i can try to feel better. I am going to call people and try to make some plans. And I set up my foot massager.

that sounds like a good plan Jilly! WHen I'm feeling the same way, just making an effort to do something different helps a lot. Maybe even getting out of the house for a walk or drive will help...

Aromatherapy is also good for when we are feeling down. Just put a few of your favorite fragrances in each room. Lavender always makes me feel more cheerful. Also, a cinnamon/cloves/nutmeg mix is very uplifting.

So far no one has been home. Which, yes, Saturday afternoon.

The foot vibrate thingie is nice. I always forget to use it. So this is good.

Hmm. Fragrances is a great idea! I have a soy tart pot - i think i will set it up with something nice right now.

Okay, done. I used a orange spice fragrance. I also set up my timer for 20 minutes - so i cna get up and clean or organize something each time it goes off.

Making some order in my life always makes me feel better.

I LOVE working from home and love being by myself, but I have discovered that I really get energy from other people, so my "getting out" is important, even though I'm often tempted to stay in! laugh

I usually get enough contact with networking, client meetings & family time, but when all else fails, I take the laptop to somewhere with free wifi, buy a glass of iced tea and I find even that helps give me a little lift. Which is why I want a netbook -- my laptop is a monster (17 inches) and not the easiest thing to transport. That's my Santa Claus wish this year.

And, orange is a great energizing scent. I'm going to spray my orange air freshener now! Thanks for the reminder!

RIght, i love being alone too. But I am alone all the time. Dan lives in seattle, i have no local family, no kids, no buddies, no clients i have to see in person...I am pretty much a hermit. I don't think it's good for me. I get too much time to ruminate.

The last two entries I was just thinking about last week actually. I had the same thoughts.

I do like working from home and I don't have a problem being alone, it gets me where my Soul searching and deeper ideas come from, but I also found that even when I don't want to, heels in dirt kind of thing, if I make myself go or give myself an excuse to go to the store or something, I run into just a situation that lets me breath again, when I get that deep lonliness thing going on.

It might be a child in their own world that out of no where stops right in front of me looking up and says, "HI!" and runs away, or like yesterday, could be where me and someone else found ourselves looking for .99 chicken breasts, neither of us could find, but together, we found two tucked up way under a shelf and we each came away with something, smiling and sharing one a piece smile

But, when I'm alone-alone, I live pretty much like you Jilly, clients over the phone or internet, no family and my husband works nights, but I love smells! So on special nights, like "those" I arrange a day/night, just for me and set up like what you did with the foot massager, I'll get out my favorite candles or go out and get two, one relaxing, one energizing. I'll pick up some ingredients from the store to make my FAVORITE dish, maybe pick up a bottle of wine, make an appetizer tray, have a movie ready to go, either from the "Red Box", one I've downloaded or just rewatch something I own, make the bedroom interesting with different lights, soft, cd paying, fan/white noise going, candle or special lantern, for ambiance, and even wash the sheets if they don't need it just for the scent and have a book waiting.

So, basically, everything is waiting for me like a good friend, then that panicky, sad sense eventually subsides and usually, someone ends up calling or the next day, it is just yet another, dark night so to speak that passes and joins all the other that have subsided as well. smile

I like Nights of Rodanthe..but that's just me. There was another one she was in, Under the Tuscan Sun, she's in a bunch I like.

How was your foot massager today?

I think I always feel better when I make plans too... organize, get out.

I've been watching bad SyFy TV. Some awful alligator movie - Lake Placid I think.

When I'm feeling, I like to pick up my guitar. I've actually written songs when feeling low - and it's helped me out of that lul.

Coming here and posting has helped greatly too.
