I retain water horribly (to the point I sometimes can only wear flip flops). Nothing wrong medically that they can find.

I've tried parsley but it didnt' really work. What herbs work for edema?

When it comes to edema, you need to be careful of kidney issues and herbs interacting with prescription or over the counter medications. Parsley is good as well as yarrow. Any of the diuretic herbs work great.

I had also heard tell of placing cabbage on the swollen areas. Not sure of the details or if it works.

You muts take care of this before isn t to late.

Limit your salt intake and drink more water. If you drink more, your body will not try to desperately hold onto fluids thinking that it's its last chance.
I also go to the health food store and pack clear gelatin capsules with fennel weed. I take several of these when the water problem acts up.
