Flower, I didn't receive your private message and don't know why. Check out the links Phyllis provided and try again to send me the name of the US Base nearest you. Hopefully it will come through on the 2nd try.

I love to watch the dancers and hear the drums. The vibration of the drums really awaken my soul and make me want to get up and dance. Since I do not have a car it is very difficult for me to get to powwows and other events. Watching them on YouTube helps.

Just notified that I am being considered as the Contingent Adult Adviser for a group of senior Scouts from the DC Area to participate in an event titled, 'Indian Summer 2011' just outside Asheville, NC. The last one held was in 2003 & it was nothing but crafts, costumes (regalia) & ceremony studies all day long with nightly Pow Wows (Southern, Northern, Long House, etc.) Phyllis is familiar with the Boy Scouts' Honor Society called Order Of The Arrow. It's a suborganization to the Scouts that focuses on camping & service to others, while the heart of development comes from the NA-based ceremonies & ideologies. I'm energized!

Beetle! Nuwingi Achowalogen Weuchsowagan, I am so proud of you -- what an honor. I am so very happy for you. This is wonderful news. I so honour and respect you for all you do for the youth. Hugs and Kudos to you, my friend.
