I use Expos to promote what I do regardless of whether or not I paid to have a booth. Going around and speaking to the vendors is a great way to promote yourself. You let them talk and then gradually steer the conversation to about you. You will naturally have their business card because they are there to give them out - follow up with THEM for a change.
