I do know it's difficult trying to actually "teach" kids to withstand peer pressure. I think it also has to do with their own self confidence and need to be accepted.

Thanks Dianne! I agree that a huge part of standing on their own is their own self confidence. It is so hard to raise kids in this current culture, however it is more important than ever to make sure our kids have what it takes to make their own choices... when the stakes are so high.
