I will be in Alaska Aug 31-Sept 7, 2010. I'll fly into Anchorage, then fly to Fairbanks, where I have friends and family. If anyone else is going to be there, let me know.

I sure hope Mother Nature gets all the rain out of her system by the time you get here. On the other hand, I hear its been nice in Fairbanks, so you may luck out either way (smile).

You picked one of my favorite times of year to visit here. Lots less bugs, crisp late summer heading towards fall air ... maybe even a little snow on the high mountains. Have you been here before?

I live not far from the Parks Hwy, partway between Anchorage and Denali Park. It's a beautiful area. Hope you have a great trip - be sure to send us some pictures of your travels!

I've been to Alaska twice and love it and can't wait to go back.

But, no, not going this year. Not even sure about next year because I need to get to places I've not been to yet.

I hope Nancy is enjoying her trip - here in Fairbanks we have nice sunny sky, 64 degree weather, the sandhill cranes getting ready to fly south. Nancy,If you see this and want some local insider info on Fairbanks, I would be happy to let you know!

It sounds perfect up there right now! Wow. Ihave not been to Alaska yet. I'd love to do the ferries to get there. Sleep on the deck chairs, wake up to glaciers!
