Anyone has any "Multiple Income Sources" to share with US?

And for those of us who may not understand my question - it is the sources outside of a regular 9 to 5 job, maybe freelancing, writing and so on. Anything that pays the bills (lol).

Thanks!

I have a health and wellness website and 3 blogs which make me a little income each month, but not much considering the time I spend on them-lol.

I also do some freelance writing and sell a detox tea. I'm thinking of writing an ebook too and selling it.

My multiple streams of income is for future retirement income. My husband has a 9-5 job at the moment that really supports us. In future tho, I think my little income will pay off.

Hi joanj!

Thanks for taking the time to post.

(1) Do you use Google AdSense on your sites? I do and seem stuck at $26 and need $100 to get my first check (lol).

(2) When I do a Google Search for my blog site (Surviving Unemployment)I do not show up. Does your sites show up?

(3) Any advice on generating income from my site?

Thanks and glad to see you are doing well with your projects. AWESOME!

I would say look at home party plans - but look at wholesale sites, say...for candles. You may get more for your money and possibly be able to have a cash and carry system.

Let's say you want to get into silver jewelry. Find wholesale places first. Either do like the other party plans - show the jewelry - get payments and deliver in a week or two OR buy enough to sell right there cash and carry.

SMC for years has given people the option to do home parties with wholesale items. BUT - one magazine - The East Coast Merchandiser could also help you specialize in one type of business. I think there is also a West Coast Merchandiser by the same company.

My late husband and I used that magazine when we stocked for the flea market.

PROS for going on your own -
You choose when and where and how you want to work (even on the internet at auction sites).
You choose when and where and how you advertise/market your product.
You have no quota and no upline to answer to (not all home party plans have a quota).
You set your own commission.

CONS for going on your own -
With a party plan, there is already national branding (for example EVERYONE has heard of Mary Kay or Avon); with your own company, you are an unknown.

Hey Angela

Sounds like you have a lot of questions about how to earn more income and how to make money from a blog. I totally know what you're feeling like right now.

I was really hurting back in 2004 when I got divorced. I was working 4 fitness jobs and still couldn't make ends meet. I was training at 3 gyms and selling fitness equipment on weekends and my son was living with my parents an hour away from me. I was so stressed out and unhappy. I think the only thing that kept me going was writing for bella (been here since the beginning and since before Lisa owned it too).

I'm offering an ecourse right now for personal trainers that takes you through the steps of building a successful fitness business with multipe income streams. It's free and there's no catch and it will show you what not to waste your time on too.

I know you're not a trainer but you like walking and that is a niche that you could exploit if you knew how. I can show you how.

Try my ecourse and give me your honest opinion about it. Three other trainers are taking it right now and they seem to like it so far. I just put it up last week.

BTW, my income streams are:

1 on 1 fitness training for special needs clients
bootcamp fitness for rich booomers
my bellaonline ebook bootcamp workouts for busy brides
my 2 sites here
my big site fatloss workouts guide (a.k.a. free workouts guide)
my new site tucson fitness training (a referral service for quality personal trainers)
I'm also working on a new ebook for my fatloss workouts site

Hi Angela,

Yes, I do have adsense on my website and 3 of my blogs, as well as Amazon links to books, etc, some clickbank ebooks and a a few other ways to make money.

Your adsense earnings are pretty much tied to your traffic. The only way to increase earnings is to get more traffic. I worked for about a good year building traffic for my website and adding pages. I was stuck at getting a check every two months for quite a while but now I am at about $250/month in adsense. not really a great deal however, after 4 years.

One trick is to keep adding keyword articles. Some of my pages do show up. Each page has some keywords related to health and some are on the first page of google searches. My blogs get quite a bit of traffic but don't make a lot of money. People who read blogs typically come to be social or read for info but not really to buy.

One way to make money is to do an ebook or something that you can sell on your site so you make all the revenue from it. That's one thing I haven't tried yet.

Between all the affiliates I have on my different sites, I can make about $500/mo on a good month but again, not really a lot after all the time and effort I put in.

Some people make it big because of their topic and some topics are more conducive to people spending money.

I work full time and have a home based business with Premier Designs, doing home shows on the weekend. Premier pays you 50% of retail sold, so depending on how much you want to work, you can earn quite a bit of extra money.
