Oh ya i didn�t think about things like that, less expensive too.
Let me check into this one.

I use to walk around my "tiny" apartment on those days when the hurricanes were in season - yep, sunny Florida get those about ths time of the year (lol) - June to November.....

Walking tapes don't have you just walk...you kinda walk in place. It's almost like very low impact arobics. The videos I have tell you when you reach the 1/2 mile and 1 mile mark. I even have the 2 and 3 mile tapes but they are still virgin quality. Once I'm better and start walking again, I'll fill in with the tapes for variety and maybe by late fall I'll break into the 2 mile one. These things really work ya out.

Even if i�m walking in place i find this a great idea. I�m going to see where i can find some.

Angela, i remember those hurricane seasons. I live in florida for about four years, in those four years i lived in eustis, mt.dora, altamont springs.

When it rains I walk the indoor malls, 2x around is 2 miles. I have to change up , treadmill, out door walking, mall etc. to stop being bored. I love the outdoor walking most.

how does one walk in place and where are the walking tapes to be gotten? Suggestions anyone?

We don�t really have malls here, but when i lived in the states i used to walk them to when it was rainy. I have to start saving some money to be able to afford a treadmill, in till then i was looking for other things.

It�s like running in place also, your body stays where its at you just walk in place with out moving all over the house.

Here's an affordable option from the net...just google walking tapes and a menu comes up with tons of options. I use Leslie Sansone's, but there are many different tapes by many different walk leaders. I'm thinking of getting some from a new walk leader to swap them out for variety. You might try finding them at Walmart, I think that's where I got mine about 10 years ago. They also come as CD's. Walking Tapes
