Okay - I'll jump on 7 & 8

7-Stop fighting amongst each other

8-Uncle Phil delivers a fake letter stating that Mr. Green (husband/father) was killed in action.

Although, Uncle Phil does perform this terrible act, it isn't done to prevent the tractor payment.

Best I can find is that Phil has gambling debts & wants to sell off the farm (thus no need for a tractor). He lets the piglets escape in an attempt to make Isabel desperate enough to sell the farm. I'll bite on that one...

9-Vincent shares his bed with a baby elephant
