we shoot pool every wednesday night in a league. theres been a pregnant lady playing on the league too with her sperm donor (b/f). she had the baby a while ago. last night my wife was talking with a friend and mentioned the lady lost her baby to the state of alabama because of drug abuse by the mother. low and behold the lady is pregnant again with another drugged up baby probably. big surprise. NOT what kills us is they wont use birth control but are willing to play with the lives of the unborn child. we dont and wont have children but its stiil rather sad this is how life is. complete lack of common sense. its no wonder the world is the way it is with out of control ppl having babies they dont plan to be real parents to. im glad im not part of their world, even tho they are in my world.

I often laugh to myself when people say, "If everyone felt like you, we would have no one left on this planet." The reason being, I know that this world will forever be filled with people in situations that you have described. I feel bad for their offspring who often are born into welfare and die on welfare. I know there are the rare few who manage to rise above, but most will be bounced around in foster care and not stand a chance. People should question THEM for wanting to become parents, rather than US for choosing not to!

What I think is that couples such as this DON'T THINK!! And a lot of us child-free couples don't understand that frame of mind at all. All my life I have been the type of person that thinks not twice but a thousand times before making a decision on something important. I told someone at work that it took me five years to buy my dream car (about four years of pondering whether or not to get it + one year of actual shopping around). This co-worker often thinks I'm entirely too frugal about a lot of my decisions, but I firmly believe that the good things in life are worth waiting for and doing RIGHT. It's a terrible shame that some people out there have so little regard for having children, which I think is in a lot of ways a bigger decision than getting married.

They don't realize it's not just having a kid. It's creating a life. And they are responsible for that life.

My thoughts exactly....why aren't these irresponsible people, who don't give a hoot about themselves or the children they bring into this world, questioned and criticized more like the CF are for our responsible and well thought out choice?
