Time to Play

Do you remember fun summer activities that you loved as a child? I'd love to hear what you used to do for summer fun or what activities you share with your children or grandchildren.

I never liked Summer because when it is sunny it takes my energy away plus when it is hot it's worst but I used to spend all my Summers outside. The first years I would only play with my brother, we had cars and horses and other things with wheels and these were our favorite. Then when I was older I got an adult bike which I used for many years until it broke and my parents did not have the money to buy me another (this is when i started to go less and less outside during that season). For many years in our neighborhood our park had paths of ice during Winter and I went there often to skate for hours, sometimes my brother would come too then they sadly stopped making those paths so I stopped ice skating. Also I loved to swing in the park, I bought one and my parents bought wood and our contractor two years ago was supposed to finish the work here by building a swing set for me but he never did it. I also got a cheap pair of roller skates when it came out which I used the two or three years they were good for but by then I was in my twenties I think. I also read a lot outside and the activity I loved the most to do besides all the other things was play with play-doh and something else I forgot the name of (the rectangles of different colors that goes on top of each others to build stuff) and when it was not raining we would do that outside.
