Hello! I've been trying to pick out both a boy and a girl name for my baby due this fall, but I feel like there aren't any that flow with my last name so I thought I'd turn to all of you for some advice and suggestions :-) My last name is Fekete (FEK-uh-tay) I'd say my style is typically non-traditional/unique but really, I'm open to anything! Thanks all!

Off the top of my head...

Grayson
Silas
Xander

Daisy
Harper
Kendall

Could you give us some examples of names you do/don't like? That might help us come up with better suggestions.

Hi Nancy! Thanks for the suggestions! I really like Harper, Kendall and Silas. Some of my favorites for girls are Avonlea (av-un-lee) Seneca, and Elysia. For boys, I'd say Levi, Calum, and Gideon. I hope this helps give you a sense of my style. Really, I'm open to any suggestions though - I often find that there are names I don't particularly like at first that I end up loving later.

I like Seneca (although maybe not with your last name- lots of hard k's) and Levi. You may want to keep it in the "more recognizable" realm for the first name, since your last name is a little more uncommon. Maybe something with a lot of vowels, to balance out the consonants in the last name- Eloise, or Willow, or Joel, or Oliver, or Ian? -Karen
