My ???'s are ...are these things safe for a baby skunk? Ifso how much??? She weighed in at a #2 whopping pounds & that was olny a week ago.

I have never heard of heart guard for skunks let me do some checking around. Both are considered off label (nearly everything is off label for skunks, you don't need to worry) it just means no testing has been done on skunks. I have used frontline on skunks and ferrets. Wait on the heartguard. What vaccinations did she receive?

Skunkhaven is a good site to follow. The only thing I do different is a diet more natural to skunks. That way you don't have to worry so much about taurine, protein and calcium. I feed insects and veggies primarily. You seem to be doing everything right. Do have another parasite screening done in about two months. I do have a book coming out soon. I just haven't decided if it is going to my publishers or if I am going ebook. Some of the diet details is here Death by Ignorance of Dietary Needs

Off Label Drugs I also have several skunk articles. Look under site map and exotic mammals.

I missed the name the first read through, I had just woken up and I am not a morning person lol.

The litter box isnt to good! Shes crate trained olny when Im sleeping so we got her a corrner litter pan for this huge crate when shes out of her crate we leave the door open & shell go back on her own to go BUT she moves the litter pan to the side to poop under it & she sleeps in the litter pan wich has never been used!

What kind of litter are you using? She may not like it. Some people just use cut up newspaper. Put some poop in the litter pan, it's worth the try anyway. She sounds like an independent little gal smile

I knew she'd get it! Skunks are pretty darn smart. All youngsters make mistakes.
