Hi Jori, Two of us have been posting under Disabilities because Multiple Sclerosis isn't on the menu. Would this be where we belong? Both of us have been wishing to meet others with MS.

Thank you for your welcome, Diane and tucsongirl. Tucsongirl, as we get rolling again, I hope to develop an active and helpful community on this forum. Hopefully, you will have many opportunities to interact with others with MS here. This will likely take time to develop, and I would surely appreciate your help as we get going! I'm so glad that you found me so quickly. Jori Reijonen, Ph.D. Neuromuscular Diseases Editor

Well, then, tucsongirl, fortunately for both of us, you already know how to post to the forum! The type of help that I'm talking about really just means being active in this forum - talking to people, helping each other out, supporting each other, and asking questions. And, I know that you already know how to do that, so thank you. Jori Reijonen, Ph.D. Neuromuscular Diseases Editor

Glad you made the trip! I still haven't found the name of the fatigue med my dr. wanted me to have. I looked all around the internet, and saw that Amantadine is freq. prescribed for MS fatigue, and, interestingly enough, it is an antiviral. I don't think this is the one he mentioned, seems like it was a newer med...still looking. Seems like I had Amantadine years ago, but I don't remember anything more than that. (can't have been that good or I'd still be on it).

tucson, I just read your post back on the other forum. I totally missed it the first time around. Sorry about that. I left a reply there though. Could the drug you are trying to remember be Nuvigil, which is the new and improved version of Provigil? I tried them both, BTW, neither worked for me. Amantadine did help for a couple of years and I also loved the fact that it is an antiviral. My system grew accustomed to it though and it stopped working. As I posted, I am having much success with Prozac (see other post for details) it is an oldie but goody, at least for my type of fatigue.
