Summer is fun and exciting and without the pressures of the regularity of school some important things get forgotten. I think there are many grandmas who don't hear often enough from their grandchildren.
Encourage some creativity as your encourage your children to write to grandma or to draw a picture for her. After they have written the letter or drawn the picture you can suggest to your child to cut it up like a puzzle and then mail the pieces to grandma and she will need to put them together to see the picture or to get the message.
This is also fun for grandma- she can write the letter and then cut it up like a puzzle to mail to the grandchildren.
Let's keep the special bond between a grandchild and a grandmother alive, and if for some reason there is not special bond yet, try to make one. You will never regret it.
