VirgoGirl: I am so happy for you that you got the outcome you wanted and that you are at peace with your decision to remain CF. I do hope you and your husband will stay happily married and that you enjoy your CF lifestyle.

As for needing the rest of us while you are still of childbearing years, that will be for quite some time to come. Have you seen the actresses having children in their late 40's? Not to mention that I know a few women who either got pregnant or want to be pregnant in their late 40's......the oldest of which gave birth at age 48 to twins. I just don't get it, especially since these women I know already have grown kids. It's like a new fashion trend.....everybody wants to do it. Yuck....

I am so glad you are doing better. Take care of yourself.

I'm so relieved for you! I've had a similar scare to that before, when I was 18 (it turned out I had mono and that really messed up my system, so no period for about 3 months). I never want to go through that again...

Whew ! what a relief for you! And welcome to the *childfree* mindset.

Now that you *know* what you DON'T want, will you get a tubal, to make sure it doesn't happen for real????

A tubal! Hm. It would certainly give me piece of mind. Hubbie would probably be upset. He'd say, "Well, you already have the IUD. Do you have to do this too?" He'd be hurt. *sigh* Just got back from a week with my hub's family, including my princess of a sister in law, who had to watch her 2 kids without her husband. She kept whining about how no one was helping and how hard it was without her husband. AND her 2 year old is a BRAT! She calls her Mom an [censored] (where did she hear that, I wonder?) and hits people. I kept thinking, "YOU had them! The most anyone else is going to want to do is hold them for a few minutes!" I'm MORE than OK with just being Aunt Virgogirl. :) Love to all!

VirgoGirl - I know exactly what you went through. Last month I had a scare to the point that I went out and bought a test. Let me tell you, it was the most terrifying three minutes of my life. I'm 38 and DH is 46 and the thought of being pregnant would feel like a desth sentence to me. Glad everything worked out for you. Take care!
