Dreams can be a gateway to our spiritual growth. It is like reaching deep within our subconscious for messages long hidden, as in an old trunk in the attic. Long before Freud and Jung, dream interpretation was important to peoples of many cultures. Freud, although not very creative or accurate with his theories, brought it out of the darkness and into the light of research.

Merlin was an expert in dream interpretation.

I really enjoy watching the types of movies, Thunderheart was one of my absolute favorites, that I could watch again and again... I just love "Grandpa" But the movies that show the circles with the fire in the middle and an Elder speaks of what they see in a vision or dream.

There's a part of me that really longs for that quietness with people who can come together in one consciousness and reflect on the Soul travels of Wisdom. To take the messages and words seriously, respectfully and learn even more about what the Elder sees as far as spiritual challenges or events they feel or see coming to pass.

Well, there also is the possibility that it seems no one is willing to just SAY OUT LOUD.. maybe people who are gone CAN pass back through in dreams.. maybe they are here all around us, but behind a veil. Maybe they come through in dreams?

teekay2020, I think Frued would have been horrified by this thought. I have no doubt, though, that departed souls (especially loved ones) do come to us in dreams. They come to give us messages, warn us about something, or just to let us know they are ok and at peace.

If you go through this forum, you will find many others who believe the same. Often people will not openly discuss these types of dreams or visitations because it can be too personal - but, it does happen.

Departed souls are here, all around us. They may be behind veils until someone, the one they are seeking will acknowledge them.
