This is terrific advice, Lisa! Many people think they can't meditate but if you just relax and breathe and let thoughts drift, it's kind of a mini-meditation and gives you mind a stress free break.

Walking around the block for 10 minutes also helps - you breathe, get outside, get a little fitness...and it's meditative!

Yes exactly Jilly! Walking meditations are found in every culture and for good reason. They work very well. Plus you get exercise smile So we should all try to go for a 10 minute walk every day, even if it's just around the block!

If she was a real problem, you can straight away have a talk with her, and you can mention what the problem is all about in a polite manner, I hope she will understand.

Such a simple way to take care of ourselves. Taking slow deep breaths is one of the best ways to activate the relaxation response. And, it can be done anywhere anytime.

Walks are great for relaxing...in part, because we breathe differently when we walk. And, just being connected to Mother Earth is relaxing.

Great you are recognizing that stress is an issue for you. That is the first step. Deep breathing, meditation, visualization, yoga, stretching, tai chi, etc. are all great forms of relieving stress. The key is finding something that works for you. It took my several months to find a meditation Cd that worked for me.

Working on it! To be able to get online enough to work today, I had to go down to the Hilton...because it's a holiday, there was no parking on the bay (finding a spot took almost an hour)! I am finally settled by the pool cabanas.

Now to take deep breaths and relax a little before diving into work.

I need to learn that traveling is simply stressful. At least for me, right now. Once I am installed in my home i hope i will enjoy travel again.
