Hi BB,
Thanks for the article. I'm going to post it on my bulletin board in front of my desk here in my office. Next time that stressful employee comes in, it's a great reminder to destress.

I usually just overwork my stress ball and my slinky (remember those) :-)?

Thanks Dianne for your reply and sharing your methods for relieving stress! I totally agree with the stress ball method. I have a pair of silver Chinese stress balls on my office desk. I bought them as a cute little decoration for my desk....to my surprise they actually work!

Nice article! Other than doing exercise, I used to listen music (most of the time instrumental) lying on the floor. I use wet cotton balls on my eyes while listening music. This works for me.

Thanks Farjana, You are right. . . listening to soft instrumental music is very soothing and relaxing. And adding the wet cotton balls is a great extra touch.

Research has shown that physical exercise is the best tension reliever. It is a very important remedy for stress. Nothing eases stress more than exercise. Exercise, when property done, gives your body time to operate in the efficiency mode. Physically, exercise improves your cardiovascular functions by strengthening and enlarging the heart, causing greater elasticity of the blood vessels, increasing oxygen throughout your body, and lowering your blood levels of fats such as cholesterol and triglycerides. All of this, of course, means less chance of developing heart conditions, strokes, or high blood pressure.
