This is a game for two players, or two teams of players. The game is very similar to War, but you will try to play four cards at once. The teams are Team Black vs Team Red. Each player gets 26 cards - all red, or all black. You need space enough to make a diamond shape with the cards.
Decide which team will go first. They are in the "field" and will lay out 1st base, 2nd base, 3rd base and home. There is no outfield, catcher or anything else. The cards get laid down face up in a diamond shape. The cards get laid right off the top of the deck as in War. Ranking of the cards is 2's are low and Aces are high.
The other team will "bat" first. They start laying down cards by starting with 1st base, because that is where you would go first when you hit the ball. Cover home base last, if you get that far. As with the cards used for the field, you cannot pick out the cards to play. They come right off the top of the deck.
If you lay down a matching card on any base, play continues. The only time play is stopped, and you are "out" is is the team at bat lays down a card that is less than the card in the field.
Let's say the cards in the field are laid down as: 1st base - 3 of diamonds, 2nd base - 5 of hearts, 3rd base - Ace of diamonds, and Home - Queen of diamonds.
The other team bats with: 1st base - 4 of clubs, 2nd base - 5 of spades (play continues as a 5 is not lower than a 5), 3rd base - 2 of clubs. Play stops as a 2 of clubs is lower than an Ace. That is considered an out.
After three outs, the other team is up. Play continues until you reach a certain score or until you are bored with the game.
