Out of sheer curiosity, and as a dweller of the northern hemisphere, I would like to know how others are experiencing Persephone's return this year? With the lengthening daylight and warmer temperatures, what is your foremost reaction?

Do you feel an overwhelming, exuberant rush of youthful energy?
Maybe it's more of a Demeter-like mother, welcoming spring with open arms?
Perhaps you feel as one of Persephone's maiden friends, eager to grab her hand and gather the first spring flowers?
Or, as in my case, like Hades, reluctantly letting go of slumbering habits of winter?

My daughter and I have been doing a spring scavenger hunt looking for flowers and watching the squirrels play.

The change in the season has made me feel even more anxious than ever. I want something great to happen, something life altering. There's been talk of moving: it's not even a done deal. Nothing has been guaranteed. But I want it to happen. I feel as if, like the seasons, I too must make drastic changes.

Winter is kind of like a protective blanket for me. It closes in and brings peace and quiet and the promise of new life. With the return of Persephone, that promise is fulfilled. Every morning I get up before Grandfather Sun rises and wait for the sunlight to bring to life the beauty of the colors on the little mountain behind my home. Then the little critters begin to wake up and scurry around. I toss peanuts and cherrios out to the birds, squirrels and rabbits. It is very quiet and peaceful at that time of morning. I meditate or simply enjoy gazing at the new life all around me.

Walk in Peace and Harmony.

Spring is such a welcome relief to me....It means my cubs can go outside and find all the interesting little critters and I get to dig my toes in the dirt without freezing them off :D
