Using mirrors to beam sunlight to bring water to a boiling water point to create steam to run a generator is brilliant.

I agree - nice that we can use such brilliance for good.

But still there isn't enough opportunity for green jobs. I'll be very happy if I hear about a project offering green jobs for the workers of coal mines.

I just read an article, of course I cannot remember where but will try to do so, that stated green job opportunities are on the rise in US and that the US is lagging behind other countries - if this is indeed true then you should start to see such jobs offered fairly soon - we will see then if it is true.
