That sounds wonderful! What a great idea!

I did do my yoga routine after I made the previous post, so the forum helped energize me to do that! It was very nice and stretchy. I can now do the "hurdler's stretch" on both sides, with my knees touching the ground! Hurrah!

It was a little rainy out today, but I waited for a dry spot and went out to do my morning yoga. It was lovely! For some reason, today I could not get EITHER knee down in the hurdler's stretch position. So a small step backwards. On the up side, I can easily touch the ground in sun salutations which is a big improvement. So I keep moving forward!

I have been very fortunate that pretty much every day for the past week it has been gently sunny outside and I have been doing my morning yoga. It really helps to start my day, and to keep my shoulders limber as I do tons of computer work for the rest of the day. It also helps to keep me centered and focused to get through as many items on my to-do list as humanly possible.

I am much better at the hurdler's stretch now, and can regularly touch my toes, which is great!

Now I want to add another standing position into my first part of my routine, which is:

* easy sun salutations
* tree pose
* king dancer I think it's called?
* five pointed star? I'm so bad with names
* palm tree

What is another reasonably gentle standing pose I could add to the end of that sequence, before I go down to cat/cow?

I skipped Sat - we had guests coming over so it was a cleaning frenzy day. I looked forward to doing it today. It was drizzly out so I did it in the kitchen, looking out the window. I have gotten very fond of my outside yoga! Still it was nice to do it at all, to get my body stretched out.

We had a nice day, so I could do my yoga outside! It's about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes a day, I'm stretching further every day, being able to hold positions more steadily, and I feel relaxed and ready to take on things when I finish.

I definitely recommend daily yoga to everyone! It makes your whole day go more smoothly!

i didn't do my bed yoga this morning due to kitten time. Dan and I heaped the kittens on the bed and played with them instead. Time well spent! They make me so happy.

So I will go do five minutes of yoga right now!

Lisa, I'd add in Chair Pose. It's pretty much pretending you are sitting in a chair but with your hands over your head.

So i did my five minutes that I would normally have done in bed, and that was nice. I need to work on getting back my good habits. Every time we move our lives (which in the RV now is a lot) I lose all my good routines. I am useless without routines. So five minutes for yoga, and five for meditation, is a good start for me. Plus at least a 15 minutes workout in the evenings.

If anyone has suggestions on keeping routines when you live in a constantly changing environment, I really need some help.

Jilly - one of our long term goals should be to help you sleep better, so you start your day with energy! We can work on that once you settle into your resort campground

Well, the resort didn't work so we are back in the driveway for another month.

I don't actually want to be a morning person - I like my late nights and i like sleeping in. But sleeping good so i wake up with energy would be a nice thing. I'd love suggestions on that!

Yes definitely it is fine to not be awake in the morning smile I only wake up about 1pm. But I wake up with energy! So it's good to wake up - whenever you choose to wake up - fresh and ready to take on the day.

If your workouts and practices center around the RV, then it is always there with you!

I wanted to add I am really enjoying my Legs Up the Wall time each day. Or most days. I want it to be a daily habit - it feels great. A nice 20 minutes of reading time.
