Wonderful sunshine but only 40F so I did my morning yoga in the kitchen. I feel stretched, relaxed, and ready to start the day.

So my routine now is:

sun salutations (for me it's pointing at the ceiling, leaning back, then curling to touch your toes, and back to the middle)

tree pose

king dancer pose

five pointed star pose

cat - cow pose alternations

plank - downward facing dog - upward facing dog alternations (with occasional child pose)

sitting with one leg out and twisting the other way

both legs out, stretching

one leg back, leaning back

butterfly pose

then corpse pose

It was warm out, so I could do it on the back porch today!

A new milestone! On one side, I was able to lay back with one leg back and have that bent leg flat on the ground! Hurrah!

We had a few days of TORRENTIAL rain that flooded the entire region out, so I had to do yoga inside. Today it was gorgeous sunshine, and I could go out onto the back porch again! It was SO nice, I really look forward to it now.

I can almost do my hurdler's stretch with my knee touching on both sides now! I'm making progress! Also when I start my sun salutations I can touch my toes right from the beginning! It's neat how quickly yoga shows it is helping your flexibility smile

Well today it is GORGEOUS out but I woke up feeling really behind so I went quickly to my computer and sat down to plow through some work. And I did make progress, but I am feeling very worn down and achy now. Which I think means I'm not working as efficiently as I could be. I think I should have taken the time to do the yoga first, so I could then get everything done well. But now that I'm neck deep in things, I won't take a break. It really does show I should do the yoga first thing each day.

I made sure I went out to do yoga right away this morning, so I didn't get distracted by my piles of work smile It was almost too hot today, 81F, although there's a light breeze which helps. I am so happy that I can touch my toes easily now. I still can't touch them well when I sit down though (with my legs stretched out). I think I am holding plank for longer, so that is good. I really want to work on my arm strength.

Happy Birthday Nancy!!!!

I am not much on doing *anything* in the morning (except turn over and go back to sleep). But I can probably do better at remember my bed yoga sequence. I think that is a new goal. At least five minutes of bed yoga each morning.

Jilly - one of our long term goals should be to help you sleep better, so you start your day with energy! We can work on that once you settle into your resort campground smile

I wasn't able to get any morning yoga in today, I had to wake up and run James off to a Census interview. Hopefully he did well at it! Now that I'm hope again, I should do some right now!

Way cool! I'm on the back porch and a titmouse just flew over and landed next to me! We have a birdhouse on the porch and I think he was heading for it smile

Awesome, Lisa! We've got a second story deck at our house we've never really used because it needs some minor work and we just didn't get to it. So, my request this Spring is to get the deck ready to be used, mainly by me to practice my Yoga. Morning sessions are what I'm most looking forward to out there. Now, I can practice on the deck by the pool, which is nice too but I'm excited about a change of scenery.
