My male betta has had one white spot on its fin for a few weeks. There is no noticable problems in his behaviour. I dont no what it is.

I keep him in a small bowl that holds about 1 litre (i dont no what that it is in gallons im in australia) and i do water changes every few days with a drop of water neutraliser. The bowl contains 1 banana plant.

Hi. It's hard to say what it could be. At first, I thought ick, but that would have gotten worse by now. Maybe bacteria or fungus? Do you add some aquarium salt to the tank? that always helps if you do after each water change. Also, try BettaFix. It seems to help out a lot of different diseases and since it is all nature, it will NOT harm a compltely healthy fish. It can't hurt. Keep us updated and I am sure some other people here will have better advise for you.

if it's one spot it's prob not ick, as Rns said. It could be fungus - is it fluffy or woolly? Or could it just be a new area of color on the fish and not a problem? Is he acting sick?

no its not fluffy or anything its just a round white dot on his fin, quite wierd! i mite try some bettafix to c if it goes away. Otherwise he is acting fine and eating normally.
