Very cute video...I actually sent it to a pregnant friend of mine and she loved it. I agree with Schnicky, too. We, as CF adults, do take a lot of [censored] from parents...I'm sure you have read my "I'm not jealous of your baby" thread and can see what I mean...I personally am constantly dealing with parents thinking they know what's best for me...we went to our best man for our wedding's wife's baby shower and my husband made a few jokes about the unborn little one....the MOTHER of the wife's FRIEND...not even in any way related to ANYONE honored by the party said "Oh, they'll pay you back when you have kids." So my husband says "We aren't going to have children." She just smugly smirked at us and said "You'll change your mind when you see their little one..." Funny thing is, they passed baby pictures around at our WEDDING...our actual WEDDING...and I can safely say their little one looked like Sloth from "The Goonies" (to the point where my brother..who was my maid of honor...well..DUDE of honor..saw the pictures and whispered to me "BAY BAY ROOOOTH?")and in no way made me want to stop taking my pill... Anyways..the point of that rant was...the parents started it..nyah! :-P

I feel like sending this to my "best friend" who, although she'll never admit to it, thinks she and all the other breeding machines are oh so high and mighty. I told her I never want kids and my reasons and she acted like I was bashing those that do. I never said anything! You know, if people want to overpopulate this planet and strain our already precious resources, fine. Just don't come crying to us when you go hungry because you can't feed your family. If you can afford it, and have the time and money, fine go ahead, your not a burden. But just don't advertise it. Some of us really could give a [censored]. I love this video. Its absolutely tops. I was a cashier for a long time and iv had my share of screaming, crying, LOUD as [censored] hell spawns for a lifetime. I the cahier had to watch their kids and tell them no on occasion. Granted MOST of the parents were grateful. There was one though that allowed her kid to suck on the top of a bottle of COMET cleaner! My mouth dropped to the floor. I could not believe how stupid the human race has gotten! Get this: She ALLOWED him to do it! "Its closed." she said. So the [censored] what. I used to suck the water out of "closed" water bottles when I was a kid. She was definitely an unfit mother who needed to be [censored] slapped and have her kids taken away. Especially if she lets the suck on bottles of chemicals. (I appologise for the rant. I have a lot of build up from the years. As far as "us against them", I think all of us would prefer not to have to feel this way. Unfortunately, often the parents or other people we come in contact with who think that having children is the only way to live life, do act superior to us. The CF are somehow flawed in their eyes for the choice we have made. These other people seem to know the secret to life and we the CF just don't "get it".

I think we get it just fine....we choose not to deal with the pain of labor, the sleepless nights and stress, the dirty diapers, temper tantrums, and various problems that only get worse and bigger as the kids get older....not to mention all the time, energy, and money it takes to raise children.

We the CF have the ticket to freedom and we like it. If everyone else breathing down our necks really understood that I think they'd be jealous of us. Not every parent is truly happy with their situation. They just won't admit it.

I respect another person's choice to do what they want with their own life, especially if they are responsible parents, although many are not. I would just like the same courtesy when it comes to the choice I made about being CF, and not have to be judged for it. Thank goodness at my age I don't give a damm anymore what anyone else thinks of my life choices.

Kuriko89: I bet if you and I sat in a room together we could have some rants that would make the hair curl on the heads of all the pro-kid people. LOL!

:D I know right? She claims "To each her own" but I clearly see the contempt in her eyes. Plus, she's been spending way more time with the hubbs lately and I don't think it's the J-Rock. She knows that he initially wanted kids. I'm being honest when I say our marriage may or may not work out in the end. Whatever happens, ill be ready somehow.

Sometimes it feels like an "us versus them" by the way we are attacked by people with kids when we tell them we don't want them. We are told we don't know what we want, we will change our minds, we are selfish or that we should have kids because we would make a great parent. The first two imply that strangers know us better than we know ourselves, the second is just rude. I never got that last one. Why would anyone encourage someone to have kids who admitted to not wanting them? Aren't there enough bad parents already?

I think people with kids are threatened by us or jealous because either they regret their choice or never even realized they had a choice.
