Well Glo...

Mine are about 2 months old now and still not ready to go. I have heard 3 to 4 months...but I'm hoping..sooner!!

Actually they probably could go to someone now who doesn't mind doing the brine shrimp thing...but I'll wait till they are eating regular betta food before I try and give them to thier new homes.

Emg fish fish

OK Thanks that gives me some idea of what I would be looking at timewise if I decided to try to breed a pair. Bet you can just about make brine shrimp in your sleep. LOL

Haha glo...just about..

Brine shrimp really aren't that difficult to do. I have two containers..(one quart size wonton soup container..and one 32 oz peanut butter jar)..I went from feeding 3 times a day....to 2 times a day...and now just once a day. Right now the problem is timing the new brine shrimp mix so that the one I'm working from doesn't go bad before the other is ready...or...that the one waiting doesn't wait so long that I can't use it all up before it goes sour...havn't mastered that yet...but getting there. That has only become a problem since going from 2 feedings a day to 1.

But it really isn't that much trouble. I enjoy taking care of them..maybe too much..haha..so I don't see it as a chore. But I would like to move out these ones I have now so that I can try a match with Jax and one of the steel girls from this batch of fry. Since I know what both the parents are...I should get a few that are the darker color with maybe some piebalds and marbles.
