I'm at the first battle with Seymore and I have no trouble defeating Anima but then I'm stuck. I've read all the walkthroughs but I can't use any of the nulls because I don't have them. I don't have Yuna because she is with Seymore, so I cannot enter the sphere grid with her. I didn't realize that you could update your characters until halfway through the game so am I screwed or what? What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any replies...

you need to use auron for attack rikku cuz she fast so she can heal and tidus so he can attack.use this party AFTER you defeat anima so change yuna for 1 of those.and if your health is goin down then haste rikku so shes faster and she cures while auron and tidus slash the [censored] into seymore
it is best if you go into the battle in overdrive

and yes ur screwed, wen i first started i didnt know wat i was doin and i made tidus go backwards on the sphere grid <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Use the aeon overdrive special <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Fight battles til u get ALL of your aeons in overdrive and get yuna in overdrive, and well you have valefor,ifrit,ixion, in overdrive and another overdrive from grand summon!

Once you start this fight, I would suggest using your new aeon, called ???? at that time, it is amazing as it can heal itself and it will overdrive at least 3 times if you keep it alive by heals (elemental heals). once you have landed a couple of ovedrives you'll see how easy the fight is!

I think your confused man, The newest aeon u get before that battle is bahamut and he cant heal himself unless u teach him the magic, which isnt easy.......but the battle is easy if u use all your aeons overdrives!
