Hi Lynne,

What is the best way to colour grey hair with the least damage? There are so many articles on the net about the dangers of dyes, lead acetate, etc. Is there a 'safe' way to colour grey hair permanently?

Warm regards
Joy

Hi Joy,
There are ways to color gray hair without damage to the hair. First of all, never retint hair that is already tinted. Only apply color to the hair that has not been tinted before - the new-growth. Sometimes you can refresh the color by diluting it and applying it to the previously tinted hair for no more than ten minutes.
This article explains how to retouch new-growth.
Retouch

If you are worried about damage to your health from hair color, use a lighter color on your hair. The lighter colors contain less dye stock - less of the ingredients that are thought to be harmful.

Here is a natural procedure to give a luscious look to hair without getting any side effects.
You may heard about "Hina", a herbal powder imported from India. Hina has no side effects and it give color to hair and energy to the body. Its very useful for sexual wellness too.

To get good results, make paste of hina, leave it for 2 hours and then apply. It will dry after 2 - 4 hours. When it dries, remove it by hands or comb but don't wash. When it is removed, apply any hair oil and leave for one hour. Now you can take a bath.

In normal application of hina, it is washed when dried. When you follow the above procedure, the color will be more durable and shining. It will be dark and natural looking.

Thanks LibrainFriend! Just out of curiosity, is 'Hina' the same as 'Henna'? I've noticed on some packaging for hair colours that it says "Do not use on hair previously dyed with Henna". Joy

I would like to use my ghd purple to make new hairstyles. It is very convenient and saves me a lot of money.
